Bamboo desk Decorating with antiques: evoke a fanciful past with bamboo

Bamboo desk Rudyard Kipling's famous citation, "East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet" never proved to be much less precise than right through the seventeenth & 18th centuries, when the Orient captivated the West within the form of chinoiserie layout. Chinoiserie (French for "Chinese-likeandquot;) is defined as a whimsical European interpretation of Chinese, Japanese and Indian styles within the design of interiors, furnishings, pottery, textiles and gardens. This European rage for anything Asian resulted from accelerated industry with the East. The chinoiserie affect left its mark on interior layout in many ways, however one of my favourite expressions of it's in bamboo & fake bamboo furnishings.

Bring Asian or tropical attract to a room of any style with versatile and unique bamboo items.
